About Hemma i Skellefteå
Hemma i Skellefteå (“At home in Skellefteå”) gathers what is on for parents at home with small children: open preschools, family centres, libraries, pools, indoor play and other pram-friendly places.
Today this information is scattered across the municipality’s pages, church pages, Facebook and Instagram. We put it in one place so you do not have to hunt for it.
New to Skellefteå? Open preschools (“öppen förskola”) are free drop-in sessions for parents and children aged 0-6, run by the municipality and by the Church of Sweden. You do not need to book, be a member, or be religious. Just turn up.
How it works
- Every place shows when we last checked its details. If it is more than 60 days ago you will see a warning.
- Open preschool hours are for the current week and are marked “Confirmed wk..” with the week number. They are read from the centre’s own weekly post and added as soon as it is published, usually on Sunday.
- Things change fast. School holidays, planning days and illness close open preschools at short notice. If it matters, check the place’s Facebook or Instagram the same day; the buttons are on every place page.
- Found a mistake, or know something we are missing? Send a tip. Every tip is reviewed by a person before it is published.
