Barnsia

Skellefteå museum, Ernst Westerlunds allé, Nordanå

DirectionsWebsite

Free entry. A play-and-learn space inside Skellefteå Museum, built for ages 0-6: materials, measurements and heights are adapted to six-year-olds and the play area is safety inspected. The theme is how people lived here in the past, with animals, farming, forest and mines. All play is under a parent's supervision. A good indoor option on a rainy or cold day. The toilet and changing table are on the entrance floor, not inside Barnsia, and nappies go in the bin there. Nordanå café is in the same area and sells lunch, Belgian waffles and fika. Note that the café is closed on Sundays, when the museum is open anyway.
